“Despite California’s stay at home order and LA’s beach closures, Pacific Coast Highway and the canyon roads of the Santa Monica Mountains were busy with vehicle traffic last weekend. Speeding, racing and reckless driving calls have increased so the CHP sent extra units to inundate the area with focused patrol. Our weekend enforcement included an arrest and 30-day impound for racing, numerous speed and modified exhaust/engine citations, several impounds for license and parking violations, etc. We also caught several vehicles driving within closed-off sections of Mulholland Highway. We will continue our increased patrol on these canyon roads and PCH. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and just STAY HOME. Beaches are closed and there’s no parking.”
