“While conducting Straight Line Aerodynamic Testing with Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds at Space Florida’s Launch and Landing Facility, Kennedy Space Center, FL, a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Edition achieved the following results in the .5 Mile test.”
Watch this 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Edition send it down the runway at Kennedy space Center. The 918 Spyder, most famously known for its connection to the death of Paul Walker, layed down some impressive numbers in this closed course 1/2 mile test.
From porschecoloradosprings.com: “The highly sought after Weissach Package brings improved aerodynamics, shaving off 90 lbs. from the model’s total weight. Only about 25% of all 918s were blessed with the optional package, making it an incredibly rare find. The package allows the model to jump from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds and reduces curb mass from 3,715 lbs. to 3,616 lbs. Some slimming additions featured in the package include magnesium wheels, a lighter brake design, ceramic wheel bearings and titanium bolts for the chassis.”
