“The 2019 McLaren Senna is said to have a top speed of 208 MPH per McLaren’s website. The name Senna is a tribute vehicle to the late Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna who was tragically taken from us in a Formula 1 crash in 1994. McLaren took many components from the McLaren 720S platform to create the Senna. Most of the reused components were significantly enhanced before adding them to the Senna. For instance the 4.0L twin turbo V8 saw an 11% increase in horsepower, and the brakes where upgraded with a lighter/stronger material so that the rotors can with stand three and a half time the thermal load when braking hard from a top speed run. Overall the McLaren Senna is everything you could ever want in a car, if you were Ayrton Senna.”
