VIDEO: Romain Dumas Destroys Pikes Peak Hill Climb In Ford SuperVan 4.2!

Ford Performance took a step back in time resurrecting the “Supervan” to attack the notorious Pikes Peak hillclimb. The Supervan 4.2 is an all electric, all wheel drive Transit Van from Hell. The Supervan is a series of custom built Transit vans by Ford, they were used for promotional purposes and showcasing advanced automotive technologies starting in the 1971. The Supervan models have varied over the years, featuring different designs and performance modifications. Watch as the team at Ford Performance brings this latest beast to life over a very short 6 week period to attack the 150+ turns of the Pikes Peak course. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a renowned motorsports event held annually in Colorado, USA. Participants race to the summit of Pikes Peak, covering a challenging course with varying road conditions and elevations. It’s known for its high altitude and demanding terrain. In the end the SuperVan 4.2 came in second overall, I’d say that is pretty darn good for a Transit Van.
