“On January 10th 2024 I observed a black Dodge Charger traveling west on Interstate 40 at a radar confirmed speed of 95 mph in a 75 mph zone. The Charger took the Baker Wills exit then turned onto Highway 365 North before I caught up to it. As I caught up to the car displaying Arkansas dealer tag EX60136, it turned right onto Lawrence Landing Road. I activated my emergency blue lights and the car continued over the overpass with no sign of stopping. I activated my siren, the car veered to the right as if it were pulling over on Moore Lane, then turned back to the left as if he were attempting to turn around. The car then turned back to the right and continued east on Lawrence Landing Road. The car then turned left onto Wade Drive and spun tires while reversing quickly onto Lawrence Landing facing west head on with me. The engine reeved and the car came at me head on in an attempt to flee west back to Highway 365. I moved my unit to block the car causing the front of my unit to strike the front of the car. The car then backed up and came at me a second time. In attempt to stop the vehicle I pulled forward causing the front of the car to strike the front of my unit. At that point, I accelerated forward, pushing the car backwards into a muddy ditch where it became stuck. I exited my unit and performed a felony take down. While I was giving multiple commands to show me there hands, the driver continued to attempt to get the car out of the ditch by spinning the tires forward and in reverse while reaching around in the car as if he were moving or hiding something. After multiple commands, the driver exited the vehicle and was commanded away from the vehicle and taken into custody. The female passenger complied and was detained with no incident. By running the VIN through ACIC, A search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of a Taurus .45 also confirmed stolen out of Cabot PD, approximately 8oz of suspected Marijuana, 8oz of Promethazine, digital scales, plastic baggies, multiple different key fobs to multiple makes of vehicles, and a device to re-programing vehicles. The driver, identified as Kyron Jones 12-17-2005 was transported to Faulkner County Detention Center Unit 2 where he was booked accordingly. The passenger, identified as Ciera Oates 3-8-1988 was released from the scene. Smith Wrecker Service towed the car to their impound lot to be held for the registered owner.”
