“On March 1, 2026, an Arkansas State Trooper attempted to stop an ATV rider who was unlawfully driving on Highway 86 North. Instead of stopping, the rider fled through farm fields, repeatedly braking in front of the trooper before losing control and rolling the ATV while attempting to enter another field. According to the report, the rider — identified as John Gales — refused commands after the crash and repeatedly reached toward his waistband, resulting in multiple Taser deployments before he was finally taken into custody. Authorities say Gales was arrested without further incident and charged with fleeing by vehicle, fleeing on foot, resisting arrest, careless driving, and unlawfully operating an ATV on a public highway.”
