“A stolen BMW M4 convertible tears through Central Florida at speeds reaching 136 MPH while a law enforcement helicopter tracks every move from above. What begins as a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 4 ends in a catastrophic crash so violent that the BMW is ripped into two major sections — yet both occupants survive. As investigators dug deeper, they allege the chase was connected to a much larger luxury vehicle theft operation responsible for stealing 33 vehicles worth more than $2 million across Orange and Seminole Counties. According to investigators, the alleged targets included high-end vehicles such as BMWs, Range Rovers, Mercedes G-Wagons, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris. Authorities say the group targeted affluent neighborhoods, identified desirable vehicles, and exploited vehicle security vulnerabilities to steal luxury cars before transporting many of them out of state. The investigation eventually led to racketeering charges and the arrest of multiple suspects.”
